City to close convenience centers, transfer stations and landfill sunday, august 16
Residents planning to dispose of excess green waste as well as any other household refuse items or bulky materials are advised to store these materials safely until convenience centers, transfer stations and WGSL reopen.
Regular curbside collection of gray, green and blue carts will continue as scheduled Saturday. Once carts have been serviced, ENV asks residents to secure them to prevent them blowing away or tipping over in high winds.
Residents can:
Bring carts indoors, into a garage or carport, or
Place carts against a wall or building out of the wind’s path
ENV appreciates the public’s patience as we prioritize safety during this time. Residents are encouraged to monitor updates at Honolulu.gov/ENV, follow ENV on social media, and sign up for notifications through HNL Alert.
